Amberle Vricella, DVM and the team at Bryan Road Animal Hospital are passionate about providing comprehensive, compassionate care for St. Charles county cats, dogs, birds, pocket pets, bearded dragons, ferrets, and pot-bellied pigs. Learn more about our caring staff below.

Practice Manager / Registered Veterinary Technician

Taylor joined Bryan Road Animal Hospital in August 2026 as both our Practice Manager and one of our Registered Veterinary Technicians. When she's not managing the clinic's day to day operations, she's assisting our veterinarians and other technicians for our patients.

She has over 10 years of experience in the animal-related field, being a veterinary technician in different capacities, including other clinic's and volunteering, and received her certificate from Veterinary Technician Institute at Hickey College. Taylor loves seeing a once sick patient in full recovery, where they can be their happy and healthy selves again.

"I love being a part of a family-owned business that not only cares deeply about their patients, but their staff as well," Taylor shares. "Our clinic feels like a second home."

Taylor has a cat named Emmy Lou and a jumping spider named Lucas. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her daughter. She's also a beekeeper.

Registered Veterinary Technician

As an organized and efficient full-time member of our team since July of 2014, Liz is known for her love of everything cat related, even kitten nail trims! Liz has her Associate Degree from the Veterinary Technician Institute at Hickey College and is Fear-Free Certified.

“I love animals as it is, but being able to work with such an amazing team and clientele makes helping care for pets even more rewarding.”

When she is not working, Liz enjoys trying new food, going on hiking adventures and strolling through farmers markets or thrift stores. She has 2 cats named Franky and Jade. She has been teaching Franky tricks since she was a kitten! Sit, high-five, up, paw and turn around are what she has mastered so far!

Registered Veterinary Technician

Heather has been a part of the Bryan Road team since May of 2017 after graduating from the Veterinary Technician Institute at Hickey College. She brings to our team an honest and caring attitude.

One of her favorite parts of her job is assisting with surgery. When asked about her favorite part of working at Bryan Road, she says, “I love the amazing technicians and doctors I get to work with. I get the opportunity to learn something new every day.”

At home, Heather has 3 pitbulls, Phoenix, Said, and Ranger. She also has two short-haired cats, Milo and Tucker. She also cares for several kinds of fish! When not at work, Heather enjoys growing flowers, walking her dogs, spending time with her family and watching TV.

Veterinary Technician

Jena has been a part of the Bryan Road team since 2016. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician Institute at Hickey College and has an associate’s degree in veterinary technology.

She is very interested in dermatology (skin cases) and a few of her favorite tech duties are assisting with radiographs and lab work. She loves to learn about the newest technologies and products that relate to allergies and skin!

At home, Jena is a mom of 2 girls and has a husky named Logan. When she isn’t working, she enjoys boating in the summertime, spending time at their country property 4-wheeling with family and friends, and her annual family vacations to Orange Beach.

Veterinary Technician

Taylor has been with the Bryan Road team since July of 2019. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician Institute at Hickey College in 2013 with a specialized associate’s degree in veterinary technology. She has empathy and compassion for all of her patients!

When asked about what she enjoys about working at Bryan Road, she says, “I love the team atmosphere here and the way we all work together. We work, but also are able to have a good time while doing it!”

Taylor has many pets at home including a boxer mix named Roxie, a heeler-corgi named Rosie, a tripod tortie cat named Bisty, a shorthaired cat named Charlie, and cares for several outdoor barn cats as well as chickens!

When not at work, Taylor loves being outdoors - hiking, camping, rafting, and having bonfires. She also loves baking, spending time with her husband and their dogs, attending country music concerts, and traveling out west.

Veterinary Technician

Alicia has been part of the Bryan Road team since the fall of 2021. She has an associate’s degree in animal science.

She brightens our animal hospital with her laughter and great sense of humor, helping everyone have a great day! She loves educating clients on puppy/kitten care, vaccinations, and prevention, and finds great satisfaction in watching them grow and bond with others.

When asked about what she enjoys about working at Bryan Road, she says, “I love working at BRAH because everyone here is so amazing. I am constantly learning new things and getting to work with a variety of different species.”

At home, she has a Doberman named Mydas and an Australian Shepherd named Jax. When she is not at work, she loves reading, binging her favorite TV shows, attempting to keep her house plants alive, hanging out with her friends and children, and traveling to places she’s never been.

Veterinary Technician

Meaghan has been with the Bryan Road team since 2024. She graduated with an associate’s degree in veterinary technology in 2016 from the Veterinary Technician Institute at Hickey College. She has such a big heart and is so warm and welcoming to all of our patients.

When asked what she enjoys most about working at BRAH, she said, "The variety of species we see here and all of my coworkers are pretty amazing. I also learn something new everyday since I started working here."

When not at work, Meaghan likes to make shirts with her Cricut but mainly loves spending time with and going on adventures with her husband, kids, and animals.

Registered Veterinary Technician

Cheri is one of our part-time Registered Veterinary Technicians who joined Bryan Road in September 2025. Some of her responsibilities include surgery and dental assistance, and appointment assisting for outpatient services.

Cheri is also the head of Progressive Education Department at Bryan Road Animal Hospital, using her four decades of experience in the field to teach fellow technicians. Her love of teaching and strong work ethic makes her an amazing member to have at our hospital.

"I love working with fellow team members," Cheri says. "I hope, with all of my experience, I can help them become more valuable to the team. I love working with and learning from the doctors. I love working with clients and helping them understand why we do what we do for their pets."

In her free time, Cheri enjoys gardening flowers and vegetables, drawing, and diamond painting.

Veterinary Technician

Jay is our part-time Veterinary Technician and joined the Bryan Road team in March 2026. She has a special interest in reptiles and happily educates owners on reptile husbandry when they come into our hospital. Jay is currently in her second semester at Penn Foster's veterinary technician program.

"I love working for a family-owned clinic and am very passionate about Fear-Free veterinary practice," Jay shares.

At home, Jay has 1 dog, 2 cats, 1 monitor lizard, and 2 ball pythons, and loves to crochet sweaters and hats for all of her pets. In her free time, she also enjoys riding horses and archery, which she used to compete in.

Customer Service Representative

With over 19 years of experience in the veterinary industry and a bachelor's degree in business administration, Lucy provides owners and co-workers with excellent service as she strives to help in any way that she can.

“I enjoy working at Bryan Road Animal Hospital because the owners are awesome, my co-workers are hardworking and fun, and I learn something new all of the time!”

Lucy has worked with retired racing greyhound adoptions and owned greyhounds for 29 years. She has a nine-month-old, blue-eyed leucistic ball python named Bella and a 20-month-old California king snake named Noodles. She also has a 90-gallon freshwater tropical fish tank with a blood parrot cichlid, rainbow fish, and clown loaches.

In her free time, Lucy spends her summers boating at the Lake of the Ozarks. She loves to fish off her dock, exercise, and spend time with family and friends.

Customer Service Representative

Ajia joined Bryan Road Animal Hospital as our Customer Service Representative, responsible for client communication, scheduling, and various other admin tasks. She loves working together with the pet parents to provide the best possible care for their pets.

"Working at a small, privately owned practice is rewarding in various ways, namely that it allows for bonds and relationships with clients and patients that wouldn't otherwise be possible. Our close knit team is a also a huge plus!" Ajia shares.

Ajia is proudly known as the resident "bird person" at Bryan Road. She is the Vice President of the St. Louis Avian Rescue, and at home, she has 8 parrots, 3 dogs, and a cat. When she's not doing rescue work, Ajia enjoys painting, reading, and spending time with her pets.
